SabraConnect vs Airalo: The Best Airalo Alternative for Israel
Airalo is the best-known global eSIM marketplace. For Israel, they offer both data-only plans (1-20GB) and voice-enabled SKUs with smaller data allowances and virtual numbers. Here's how SabraConnect's 350GB + real +972 number compares.
The Verdict
For a multi-country trip where Israel is one stop, Airalo's light data plans are convenient. But for Israel specifically - especially if you need a local number for Gett, Wolt, or hotels - SabraConnect gives you far more data (350GB vs max 50GB on data plans), a real Israeli +972 number with included calls & SMS on Pelephone 5G, usually at better value. Airalo's Annatel+ plans with calls support 'local calls only' but don't state whether they issue a +972 number.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a better alternative to Airalo for Israel?
For Israel specifically, SabraConnect is a strong Airalo alternative: it includes 350GB of data, 3,000 local minutes, and 1,500 SMS with a real Israeli +972 number on Pelephone 5G for $25. Airalo's data plans max out at 50GB with no number, and their Annatel+ plans with calls (10-50GB for 15-30 days) don't clearly state if they issue a +972 number.
Does Airalo give you a real Israeli phone number?
Airalo's data-only plans (most popular) do not include any phone number. Their Annatel+ plans include local calls/SMS but the product page doesn't explicitly state whether a +972 Israeli local number is issued - it only says 'local calls supported.' SabraConnect includes a guaranteed real local +972 number that works everywhere.
Is Airalo or SabraConnect better value for Israel?
Airalo's 30-day data plans max out at 50GB with no calls or SMS, and their Annatel+ 30-day plan tops out at 50GB + 500 min + 500 SMS (check Airalo's site for current prices). SabraConnect's $25 plan includes 350GB plus 3,000 minutes and 1,500 SMS with a guaranteed real +972 number - more than 7× the data.
